Seattle PONY Baseball & Softball

Seattle PONY baseball is organized into two-year age divisions. Baseball divisions play modified Major League Baseball rules, with the size of the diamond expanding as children advance in age and skills. Girls Fastpitch Softball plays modified ASA rules.

Pinto Division

Is for ages 7-8. Teams play one Saturday game a week for nine weeks, and practice one day a week. Six-inning games are played on a diamond with 60-foot base paths and a 44-foot pitching distance. Coaches do the pitching to ensure games are fun. For more information click here.

Mustang Division

Is for ages 9-10. Teams play one weekday and one weekend game each week - about 16 games in all - and practice at least once a week. The season ends with a week-long tournament. Six-inning games are played on a diamond with 60-foot base paths and a 44-foot pitching distance. Base-stealing and bunting are permitted. The kids do the pitching at this level. Bronco Division

Is for ages 11-12. Teams play one weekday and one weekend game each week - about 16 games in all - and practice at least once a week. The season ends with a two-week tournament. Seven-inning games are played on a diamond with 70-foot base paths and a 48-foot pitching distance. Base-stealing and lead-offs are permitted. The kids do the pitching at this level. 10-U Girls Softball

Modified Fast Pitch Softball for ages 10 and under. Girls begin learning about the real game of girls' fast pitch softball. Girls learn to pitch the ball underhand to each other. If a pitcher cannot strike out the batter or the batter cannot hit the ball after 3 balls, the batters coach comes in and completes the count. There are no walks at this level. 12-U Girls Softball

Fast Pitch Softball for ages 11-12. Girls are now playing the full game of Girls' Fast Pitch Softball. Games are more competitive as the girls progress each age level. All aspects of fast pitch are taught and rules followed. Fast Pitch generally follows the Amateur Softball Association rules and regulations during our regular season. Pony Division

Is for ages 13-14. Our teams participate in a county-wide league in which they play squads from Mountlake Terrace to Kirkland. Seven-inning games are played on a diamond with 80-foot base paths and a 54-foot pitching distance. Teams play 20 to 25 games. For more information click here.
